What I do

Michael is an independent film producer and consultant. He programs SFFS Education Film Craft and Film Studies classes, Film Arts Forums and Behind the Scenes for the San Francisco Film Society and San Francisco International Film Festival.

Have you been involved with film in your work? If so, how and what was your role?

Currently, he is producing the social justice documentary My Garbage My Neighborhood and is executing a social media advocacy campaign for the Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Council's Recycling Center. He recently finished a program theory evaluation for the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center and he is launching a media campaign for the feature film Beyond Redemption. Film is an integral part of all these ventures.

How would you like to work with film in future?

Produce social justice narrative and documentary films and consult others that are engaged in similar activities

-Teaching in Shantou, PRC
-Saving the HANC recycling center from eviction
-launching the Film Craft and Studies Program at SFFS
