I love making documentary films. They can be long or short, observational or animated, here or abroad, but they all inspire, illuminate and ultimately entertain. My skill is to take tricky subjects (women's rights in Afghanistan for example, or sex and disability) and make them watchable for a wider audience.
By finding unique narratives (Afghan Pop Idol) and compelling characters (the first group of male disabled strippers) my films are gripping stories first and foremost. But above all by finding the humanity and heart of the story the audience takes away a new understanding of the issue.
I am a freelance director and can be employed individually if required. I do work closely with a highly respected and experienced team if further production help is needed.
