To develop open source tools and methodologies for using documentary for positive social change. For example, Changemakers hopes to use its global platform and its collaborative competitions to invite filmmakers to submit short docs or film treatments that demonstrate the power of their medium as a crucial "hook" to engage communities, organizations, government agencies, and institutions of every sort in action and policy change that improve human rights, the environment, education, and health, and governance, including representation for and participation by all.
