The Co-operative has a range of businesses across different industries – it is the UK’s 5th largest food retailer, a financial services (banking and insurance) business, the UK’s biggest farmer, a travel agent, and pharmacist, to name but a few. The Co-operative is owned by its 5 million members, and has a unique 165-year history of campaigning for change.

Media Strategy...

Our campaigns tackle important, difficult issues. We believe film can bring these campaigns to life in a way that traditional marketing channels cannot - film motivates people to take action and drive change. We hope the films we support will mobilise our members and the general public. The Co-operative works with film distributers Dogwoof to find the films that best communicate our position and together we devise actions for cinema-goers and campaigners around these films.
