A multi-issue national organization, Demos combines research, policy development and advocacy to influence public debate and catalyze change. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in New York City, Demos works with advocates and policymakers around the country to create: a more equitable economy with opportunity for all, and a robust democracy in which all Americans are empowered to participate.
Demos uses a large platform of media tools -- from traditional outreach to social and online tools -- to help move America's public debate toward a new understanding about the roles of economy, government, and individuals in creating the common good. We have created short project-specific videos in the past as well as partnered with documentarians pursuing similar goals.
