Vision, Mission & Values

The Black Benefactors’ (BB) mission is to encourage philanthropy and community service in the African American community and the business community in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area; and to enhance the well being of African American children, youth and families. Our goals are to: (1) Educate our members about the benefits of collective philanthropy; (2) Increase awareness of local needs; (3) Make investments in organizations that are directly impacting African American children, youth and families; and (4) Create a legacy of giving in the African American community as an effective vehicle for social change.

Media Strategy...

The Black Benefactors recognizes that media and film greatly influence and inform the African American community of current issues, our history, and ways we can make a difference. We seek to help further promote and highlight media and film that address and impact the African American community.
