Vision, Mission & Values

Founded in 2004 in response to the Government's stated intention to introduce the compulsory registration and lifelong tracking of UK citizens by means of a centralised biometric database, NO2ID seeks to put an informed case against state identity control to the media, to national institutions and to the public at large. NO2ID engages with all sections of the community, informs debate on the ID scheme and coordinates opposition to it.

Media Strategy...

NO2ID is recognised as a serious source of information on database state issues by the national media, press and broadcast, and has worked with film-makers throughout the production process and made use of relevant films in our ongoing campaign work at a national and local level. We have found film a great way to engage and inform supporters and activists, and to provide a focus/stimulus for grassroots action.
