Vision, Mission & Values

CNEX is devoted to the production and promotion of Chinese documentaries. CNEX strives to facilitate cultural exchange through supporting documentaries depicting contemporary Chinese people, lives and society. CNEX supports Chinese documentary filmmakers by enhancing sustainable strategies for Chinese documentary making; preserves Chinese documentaries by developing a catalogue of global Chinese non-fiction works.

Media Strategy...

CNEX solicits documentary films, articles, publications, and art works through an annual CFE. Based on a chosen theme, CNEX hosts a series of activities to explore and create cultural works, culminating in the CNEX Documentary Film Festival. CNEX promotes works through diversified channels: campuses exhibitions, cultural venues, international film and TV festivals, overseas Chinese community screenings, as well as all forms of new media.
